I have had a passion for health and nutrition since a young age. My grandmother passed away from diabetes complications, and that sparked an interest in how food can affect health and well being. I went to school at Eastern Michigan University, where I studied nutrition and also started my career in the fitness field as a group exercise instructor.
I find that fitness and nutrition go hand in hand, and have recently been looking to learn more about "clean" living and reducing chemical exposure to our skin. This is how I became an Independant Consultant for Beautycounter, who's mission is to get SAFE products into the hands of EVERYONE. I have worked as a dietitian in hospitals, health clubs, and for corporations to promote wellness, and have found my passion counseling people one-on-one.
Making small changes can lead to big results. I have worked with a wide variety of clientele, from new moms to retired professional to triathletes and everyone in between. My motto is that there is no such thing as a “bad” food – its just how much and how often we each certain things that really makes the difference.
I am certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration in Adult Weight Management. My passion for nutrition expands on to the kitchen where I enjoy teaching clients how to cook easy, healthy and delicious meals.
